Available either for free or for ten pence an issue, Not the Jobhunter (1981) was an “agitzine” by Alan Rider of Coventry, England, that satirized a government-produced magazine entitled The job hunter and British political culture and politicians during the first term of Margaret Thatcher’s Conservative government. With a tagline of “Be more than a witness”, it featured political polemic as well as some music reviews. Rider’s other zines—also featured in RAPMM—include Adventures in reality, Sticky fingers, Certain substances, and Negative response.
